Melkerij was an inward expansion development project on the site of the former dairy farm in Eeklo. Alternating building heights and lengths were designed as an alternative to classic terraced housing. Each protruding block in the three-storey building houses a single-family home, a small apartment building and a duplex with in-house practice. The units to the rear each contain two-storey homes. Behind the building is a spacious town garden demarcated by a row of garages. The building is oriented along an east-west axis and provides each home the maximum privacy possible.
